Hello, You cant initiate two SSL connections without getting a crash. If you only wanna connect to secured IRC, its not the right software… And if you setup the two IRC : AutoConnect. Youre owned. Best Regards.
Systematically crash when closing the application under Lion. Excepted that, fine (if you like XChat). I suggest giving a try to LimeChat if this bug (crash at closing) is annoying to you and if you dont particulary know/want XChat.
Crash each time I accept to download a file after a xdcc send command
I just updated this version and the app doesnt start, with the report tell me this application isnt compatible.
This version crash when i start Xchat. Maybe crash because i have a ssl server connexion, when i remove pref xchat don’t crash. I have remove this app and downgrade to 1.16.1 with github .pkg
im on 10.8.5 and this version crash instantly when launch. i rolled back to 1.16.2.
Best IRC Client for Mac IMO. Powerful and yet good looking. Pretty nice fork from x-chat aqua project!
The Program itself is great, but when closing x-chat it crashed nearly all the time. Sometimes there are other crashes while running...so alltogether a really unstable release
I cant close this App without geting a crash. Server an Rooms stay, but all color changings are gone, every time i open it. Please get an update for Lion.
Already the first screen is really slow and unreactive.
Yes, you need to have a bit of geek in you to use this and set it up to do things automatically for you, but once you managed to find your way around, it provides you with lots of power.
So last update broke the keyboard shortcut to navigate between tabs cmd + <- and cmd + -> This makes the app very painful to use :(
This is really annoying…. Every update says it brings some ssl fix but breaks even more in the process….. Since todays update SSL Connections are not working at all anymore for me…. Before it was only working for a single ssl connection. Then the option to connect to untrusted certs did not work at all. Now i cannot connect to any ssl server anymore receiving the following error: (336085247) error:140840FF:SSL routines:SSL3_CONNECT:unknown state Could you maybe bring someone onboard that can fix this SSL stuff once and for all? And maybe a bit of testing and QA before you push updates?!
X-Chat has long been my favourite choice for a free Mac IRC client, if you need one, grab it. Its rock solid, has a number of ways for you to customize (in function and UI), and has been around long enough that the bugs have been worked out of its system. The one thing Ive always thought has been missing in the Mac client (both this, and the previous X-Chat Aqua) has been the automatic alphabetic-reordering of channels that the Windows and Linux versions of X-Chat enjoy — e.g., if I ./join #channel, it shows up on the bottom of the channel listing for that server always, when I would prefer that any channels I join be automatically arranged in alphabetical order. A small gripe, but one that would be a nice feature, if possible.
I was looking forward to using this and replacing my non-supported X-Chat Aqua. Unfortunately it stopped starting up completely, it just crashes. Ill be on the lookout for updates, hopefully itll work better. Id also appreciate the ability to import and export files from other versions of X-Chat (Linux, Windows and other versions of OS X)
Extreamly lite weight IRC client, the way all IRC clients should be IMO. But it crashes whenever a download begins, immedietly unistalled. Will consider redownloading after version update.
If you need an IRC client, definitely get linkinus. Xchat on mac is nothing like it is on Linux, and linkinus is simply incredible. Im saying this after using this buggy client for months and switching for the past week only.
Im not sure what this is written in, but Ive had more responsive sessions over VNC on a poor internet line. It is easly one or two letters behind me as I type, it can take a second or two to respond to mouse clicks for focus. Ive had to hit the return key a couple of times to get it to acknowledge that yes, please, Im finished typing now. XChat Aqua (yes, the old, ancient version) is a far better client than this. Something is clearly wrong wtih this program. Zero stars.
This app is simply wonderful on my iMac. Since I am used to XChat on Linux*, I was already at home with XChat Azure. I found nothing wrong yet.
