Better and better with each version :)

Plugins and Scripts no longer work. Developers changed the path in the Library folder from the regular path in Application Support -> X-Chat. Blank screen at startup. I really hope the developers fix these issues before I am forced to choose a new client.

Xchat Azure is terrible. It constantly freezes and crashes unexpectedly. I do NOT recommend it!

Just install on lion and it will not open, telling me to reinstall doesnt seem like it will work. Dev please fix this. OSX 10.7.5

it wont let any of my servers connect via ssl.

App crashes immediately upon launch. Currently completely useless.

Ever since the release of 1.17, there has been persistent SSL crashes and issues. Each new update that claims to solve the issue has either not solved it, or caused another issue to crop up.

Recent update 1.17.3 broke connections Connection failed. Error: (336085247) error:140840FF:SSL routines:SSL3_CONNECT:unknown state

The lovely issue where XChat Azure refuses to reconnect to a server with a self-signed certificate STILL exists. It looks like this has been an issue since 2013, or maybe even before. I would really actually like to use this application, since HexChat for OS X is buggy, but, in contrast with this application, it actually works.

When my network configuration changes, apps temporarily get disconnected with the "No route to host" error. This is the only app Ive seen that crashes when this happens.

Crashes on startup when connecting to a server with SSL. Makes it impossible to disable SSL/Auto Connect… or even use the app.

Great app. Used for years. 1.10.1 has a serious regressoin though with user list colors, that new option caused me major problems with my color scheme. I use white text on black background. and now mo matter what I do i cant get the userlist to mimic the behavior it did before checking or unchecking that new box. I keep ending up with black text on black background. :

As of the latest update, the screen does not display anything, it is just white. Please fix.

Updated the app when appstore told me I had an update with 10.8, now XChat wont draw anything in its windows. Good job guys. I guess this is just par for the course of letdowns on OSX these days.

This program is great for IRC but it really should be integrated with the notification center. Also could you add a setting (if not change it completely) so that when you click the red jewel it only hides the window like every other app instead of closing out of the whole thing…...

Not sure what these other reviewers are talking about, but X-Chat Azure works flawlessly on Mac OSX 1.8.0 Mountain Lion. Everything from auto connect, to auto joining channels, even commands after connecting, and auto NickServ autorization. Works flawlessly, fantastic job, and thanks for keeping XChat Azure free!

I really love that somebody is taking on releasing this X-Chat Azure, but the quality of the latest release is quite bad. #1 When I open X-Chat Azure and the auto-connect occurs (skipping the network list at startup), my first auto-join channel becomes the first tab, but it has no text entry box. It seems this style of tab is perhaps meant for being a server tab? Im not sure. Either way, I had to put a dummy channel as my first in auto-join so that I can actually chat in all the channels in my auto-join list. #2 When switching channel tabs, the new tab is always scrolled one or two lines above the end of the buffer, rather than right at the end. Means you need to mousewheel every time to scroll fully to the end to see tha latest messages. (minor annoyance, but a definite regression). I have my channel tabs at the bottom, so I wonder if that has something to do with it. #3 When someone whom I have never chatted with before (thus have no previous chat log for) sends me a /msg the new tab will open and be red indicating a new message, but switching to the new tab will not display the message at all. It will also not un-highlight. Closing the window and reopening with /query <nick> will open the tab and show the message that I had received.

Ive been a huge fan of this project since it came out, but with the latest update, when I start XChat Azure, it shows a blank gray screen. There is nowhere to type. I have to go to File > Server Window to even be able to get to a point where I can type, and when I join a chat room, one of the rooms is messed up. I hope they can get this fixed ASAP, as it is a major bug. This bug is so severe that I would think theyd want to rollback the update. Please fix soon. Thank you!

Its nice when this progam works, but it crashes and dumps a lot. For instance, I currently cant open it because it crashes on startup.
